Definition and Usage
The border-collapse property sets whether the table borders are collapsed into a single border or detached as in standard HTML.

Browser Support

The border-collapse property is supported in all major browsers.
Note: No versions of Internet Explorer (including IE8) support the property value "inherit".
Note: If a !DOCTYPE is not specified, the border-collapse property can
produce unexpected results.
