Definition and Usage
The <img> tag defines an image in an HTML page.
Notice that images are not technically inserted into an HTML page, images are
linked to HTML pages. The <img> tag creates a holding space for the referenced
image.
Differences Between HTML 4.01 and HTML 5
Some HTML 4.01 attributes are not supported in HTML 5.
