Yes. W3Schools takes data privacy seriously. We comply with GDPR for European users and FERPA for educational institutions in the US. Your data is encrypted, never sold to third parties, and you can request deletion at any time.
Can instructors see individual student progress? expand_more
Yes. Admins and instructors can view detailed progress for each learner, including courses completed, time spent, quiz scores, and certificates earned. You can also identify learners who may need extra support with our attention alerts.
Do we need IT support to implement? expand_more
No. Academy is fully cloud-based with no installation required. For large customers who want SSO integration, we provide documentation and support to work with your IT team, but it's optional, not required.
What happens to our data if we cancel? expand_more
If you decide to cancel, you can export your data (progress reports, completion records) before your subscription ends. After cancellation, your data is retained for 30 days in case you change your mind, then securely deleted.

School and organization plans include SSO integration with providers like Google, Github and Facebook. We support LTI integration with learning management systems. API access is available for custom integrations.
