Definition and Usage

The margin-top property sets the top margin of an element.

Note: Negative values are allowed.

Default value: 0
Inherited: no
Version: CSS1
JavaScript syntax: object.style.marginTop="10px"

The margin-top property is supported in all major browsers.

Note: The value "inherit" is not supported in IE7 and earlier. IE8 requires a !DOCTYPE. IE9 supports "inherit".

length Specifies a fixed top margin in px, pt, cm, etc. Default value is 0px Play it »
