Definition and Usage

The hash property sets or returns the anchor part of the href attribute value.

Syntax

areaObject.hash=anchorname

Browser Support

The hash property is supported in all major browsers.

Example

Return the anchor part of the href attribute for the "Venus" area in the image-map:
