Definition and Usage

The borderBottomWidth property sets or returns the width of the bottom border of an element.

Syntax

Set the borderBottomWidth property:

Object.style.borderBottomWidth="thin|medium|thick|length|inherit"

Return the borderBottomWidth property:

Object.style.borderBottomWidth

Value Description
thin Defines a thin border
medium Defines a medium border. This is default
thick Defines a thick border
length The width of the border in length units
inherit The width of the bottom border is inherited from the parent element

The borderBottomWidth property is supported in all major browsers.

Note: The value "inherit" is not supported in IE7 and earlier. IE8 requires a !DOCTYPE. IE9 supports "inherit".
