Definition and Usage

The port property sets or returns the port part of the href attribute value.

Syntax

areaObject.port=port

Browser Support

The port property is supported in all major browsers.

Tips and Notes

Note: If the port part is not specified in the URL, or is 80 (which is default), some browsers will just display 0 or nothing.

Example

Return the port for the "Venus" area in the image-map:
