Example
Return all the values in a map:
import java.util.HashMap;
public class Main {
public static void main(String[] args) {
HashMap<String, String> capitalCities = new HashMap<String, String>();
capitalCities.put("England", "London");
capitalCities.put("Germany", "Berlin");
capitalCities.put("Norway", "Oslo");
capitalCities.put("USA", "Washington DC");
System.out.println(capitalCities.values());
}
}
Definition and Usage
The values()
method returns a collection containing all of the values in the map.
Note: The returned collection is a view of the map, which means that changing the collection also changes the map.
Syntax
public Collection<V> values()
V
refers to the data type of the values of the map.
